CHARACTER(S): N/A.
INVITED BY: KIM / ARMWRIOSTLE.
NAME: SUNDAY.
AGE: TWENTY-EIGHT.
CANON: HONKAI: STAR RAIL.
CANON POINT: NAMELESS / POST-PENACONY.
CRAU: N/A.
OTHER: N/A.
SUITABILITY: Sunday's focal character point involves in trying to find a perfect, true, equal paradise for humanity - something that can be granted by that singular wish, even if he thinks that it is unlikely to be so simple. Secondly, he'd simply like to return home/back on his journey. he has very close ties with his younger sister and would be distraught not to be able to see her again. The golden peacock is also startlingly similar to his source material in question, and he would have an urge to investigate what really goes on in the Golden Peacock.
HISTORY: An orphaned Halovian along with his sister as his only family. As Halovians are immense empaths, they made a similar promise to each other to find a way to ease human suffering and to create paradise, a place of true equality without suffering, particularly for the poor, ailing and weak. Sunday used to be the Dream Master of a political paradise called Penacony, a grand intergalactic hotel that allowed you to sleep in its premises, bringing you to a dreamland where 'anything' can be desired and achieved. It turns out to be flawed as the dream turns out to be harvesting people's wills to live outside of a 'sweet lie', and Penacony itself charges exorbitant rates to exist on the premises, with people committing trafficking, robbery, etc to stay. He eventually makes the decision to choose to trap people within the dream itself as an extreme protectionist measure - to rob people of free will to decide their fates in order to protect them from harsh reality. He is eventually deposed, and now travels with the Astral Express/cosmos to find another solution his and his sister's altruistic dream and meaning of life, along with the answer to his philosophy.
ABILITIES: Halovian Physiology: Halovians are natural empaths, able to intuit feelings and being able to sense, and speak emotion through telepathy - interpreted as 'song'. They can also read minds, to a limited range, and use their language or singing to manipulate others. Most follow the way of 'The Harmony', a hivemind-type galactic Aeon that preaches unity and collective cause above the self. Sunday possesses non-flight pairs of wings on his waist and his face, as well as a halo he can manually remove at will. He has four little bookmark sprites that float around, and is able to coalesce gold thorns.
Emanator of the Order: Sunday is able to see into a person's past, emotionally (de)regulate someone by 'tuning', bolster their physical/mental fortitude, and analyze their state of mind. His power is more oppressive than his sister's, able to put someone on 'trial' - notably, to present a statement and demand a true/false answer, with a complicit understanding of a lie. In extreme cases, he can supplant his own will and overwrite their consciousness temporarily, visualizing an immensely large theatre of sorts.
Aelenev, the Eternal Centurion: An immense construct similar to a Conductor, one of the many manifestations of the Harmony, uniting the masses into a mind-controlled, cohesive force, where anything defeated is assimilated into the hivemind of the Harmony. Sunday is unable to commune with this entity in the Golden Peacock due to interference (with the Golden Peacock's isolation and general capping), and the most he can do is create a field where people are more susceptible to his will.
As Sunday's abilities largely fall under mental coercion, emotional and 'mindjacking', OOC consent will be obtained before use and regarding any form of information he may glean out of their pasts or reactions. Characters with a suitable strength of will can also break out of his abilities, etc. Sunday himself is generally suited to asking permission, and if he doesn't, it'll likely be of a less invasive nature (checking their vibes is common, as comparing to trying to make them do things.)
VICES: Perfectionist: An utter perfectionist who used to keep a certain look, down to ironing his clothes to specific angles and keeping appearances, and mentioned by other characters of the time to seek a shrink with how neurotic he can be about small details.
Control Freak: Once the head of a sprawling hedonistic dream, Sunday had grown used to the politics of being in his station. He is calculative and immensely paranoid to some degree, being able to identify a single outsider out of hundreds to the dream - who had an amalgamated trait of 52 other people, written down to the letter. Having been dethroned, he is trying to be less so, and more trusting, but it is proving to be a learnt trait than anything else.
Manipulative: It is innate nature to think of a result, to think of how he can get what he wants, and how exactly to get there. While he has no overarching malicious need to forcefully obtain what he wants, he tends to plan ahead, and regretfully subscribes to the ends justifying the means, having lied to both his beloved sister, using his Halovian powers to manipulate the masses, and setting narratives that benefit his ideals, even if they are well-intentioned at heart.
VIRTUES: Altruist: At heart, Sunday is an immense bleeding heart who seeks salvation for anything, deserving, poor or weak or wretched. He would be hard pressed to willingly inflict harm on others without a good reason to do so, and would generally choose the path of least harm when it comes down to it - tends not to be an aggressor in conflicts more than a mediator, or one that works behind the scenes to do so. That being said, the end sometimes justifies the means to him - as with trapping everyone in an eternal dream being his justification for protection.
Principled: Despite being the leader of a situation that allowed for a ridiculous amount of thrill-seeking/depravity, Sunday has otherwise clung to his beliefs and stayed clean of his own station. He is subdued and well mannered as of his previous station, and finds it difficult to change his behaviors, even if he is trying to be more open-minded about things.
Loyal: While difficult to earn his trust, Sunday is deeply loyal to those who have obtained it past his multiple layers of... Many issues. The Astral Express is one of them, having earned his respect despite being the orchestrators of his defeat, and he has always been deeply loyal to his younger sister from start to finish. Has a protective streak that extends to being almost overbearing.
SUIT REQUESTS: Diamonds > Clubs.
Strong preference for Diamonds. Sunday has an extreme self-control issue with image and what he feels is proper, especially of the mind. I would love the effects of Diamonds to facilitate/ease him into actual participation in Game 52 after refusing to do it for a month, and explore the limits of his self control vs repressed desires, his mental inhibition of the self vs his body 'requirements'. He's a character that always struggles with his wants vs his ego, trying to understand others but inherently being unable to do so. I would enjoy being able to break it down into exploring the limits of what he would accept/mould and how far he's willing to compromise his ideals/strong personal views for his goals.
Alternative option would be Clubs! Once again, he's very used to being in control, both as a character self-identification and enforced by his powers. The loss of something he would say he's strongly proficient at would send him on one hell of a spiral, along with the associated paranoias of losing 'himself' in the Game entirely. He thinks he's above all of this, really, and either suit that he lands into, I'm pretty much going to undo him that he is not above his basal desires.
RANK REQUESTS: n/a, dealer's choice.
SAMPLES: [Sample 1] - September TDM. Sunday wakes up to a stranger in his bed - their bed, really. Learns more about the happenings of the place he's ended up in, and he's none less pleased about it.
[Sample 2] - September TDM. Sunday turns into a beast, despite his best efforts. A showcase mostly of him trying to restrain himself and finding himself powerless against the initial effects of the blood moon.
